Our Policies and Procedures

Service Agreement: You enroll in services with Voyager College Planning, Elite Prep

Hawaii LLC for the purpose of preparing for a particular high school, college or graduate admissions test, standardized exam, high school academic tutoring, or preparing for the college search and application process. You understand that all enrollments and appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Clients can make their own appointments online for up to 90 days before their requested time.

Payment: You must pay the entire fee at the time of enrollment with one of the

payment methods offered for the service online via the Voyager College Planning

website or emailed invoice. Accepted forms of payment are cash, checks, debit cards

(except those requiring a PIN), or credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American

Express, Diners, JCB, CUP, and Maestro). Credit card information is stored in a

database using Extended DES encryption.

Student Withdrawal and Refunds: If you choose to withdraw your enrollment in a

course or program ten or more days before the first scheduled session of your program, Voyager College Planning will refund all of the fees you have paid to date. If you decide to withdraw your enrollment less than ten days before the start of the first session, Voyager College Planning will refund all of the fees you have paid less 15%. If you choose to withdraw your enrollment within 24 hours after the first session, you will be refunded 50% of the fees paid. There will be no refunds available 24 hours after the first session.

For Students Enrolling in a Private Tutoring Program - In Person or Online:

You have purchased private tutorial services for the number of hours indicated in your

package. Please note that session lengths are in one hour increments. You may schedule the hours in any manner you choose, such as two hours together. Tutoring packages expire in one year from purchase. Voyager College Planning does not refund any unused tutoring hours after the expiration date.

Payment for Additional Tutoring Hours: Once you complete the tutoring hours

purchased, you authorize Voyager College Planning to charge your credit card or debit

account for the additional hours you schedule at the undiscounted rate of your original

service. You may choose one of the discounted package fees at any time before the next upcoming appointment not covered by the original package. Discounted rates are not retroactive to previously completed appointments.

Payment for Additional Tutor Work: Telephone, research and/or email correspondence between the tutor and the student/parent performed on behalf of the client will be billed in 15 minute increments at the applicable rate. It is the tutor’s responsibility to inform the client that work outside of their private appointment needs to be performed. The client must approve the tutor to bill outside of the regularly scheduled appointment by filling out an authorization form.

Canceling Private Sessions: If you need to cancel a scheduled private session, YOU

MUST GIVE Voyager College Planning 24 HOURS ADVANCE NOTICE. If you

fail to give 24 hours advance notice of any cancellation, the missed session will be

treated for the purposes of remaining package hours, as if the session took place.

Emergency absences are considered on an individual basis by Voyager College Planning.

Appointments: All student services are scheduled by private appointment only on a

minimum of one hour basis. The student may choose in-house or online appointments.

Clients have the ability to book, change, or cancel their own appointments choosing any using the online appointment scheduling software. The link is located on the Voyager College Planning website home page. Online appointments are conducted via Zoom.

Forfeiture of Purchased Hours: If after you have had your first or subsequent

sessions, there are no sessions scheduled over 12 months, all unused purchased hours

will be forfeited at the end of the 12 month period and your account will become

inactive.

Governing Law: This Service Agreement and any claim or dispute arising out of,

relating to, or in connection with this Service Agreement, or the transactions

contemplated hereby, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be governed by and

construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii without giving effect to its

conflicts of law principles.
